If you're looking for the latest on how to watch a free Champions League final stream, we can help you get organized ahead of time for whatever country you're tuning in from. We've picked out a rich selection of reliable options, ones we've been using throughout the season, for watching the Real Madrid vs. Dortmund clash that will determine the new champions of European football.
Free Champions League final live streams are available in multiple European countries, but we'd take UEFA's channel guides with a pinch of salt. After checking local TV guides around Europe, we've seen that some of the channels that are supposed to be showing the game won't be. We've grown used to this sort of nonsense all season, though, and are confident in all the options we've personally verified and presented below.
A quick heads-up, though: if you're not actually located in one of the countries with free Real Madrid vs. Dortmund live streams from the box below, you'll be unable to access the live stream without using a VPN (virtual private network). These easy-to-use apps aren't just great for beefing up your online security and privacy; you can also use them to digitally alter your viewing device's location, which unlocks international streaming opportunities from around the world like Grand Slam tennis, Euro 2024, the Olympics, and more.

*TNT Sport is ditching the fees for the final, but you need to sign up for a free account tier (below the paid options on their site). Spain's RTVE is also free, but you must create a free login to access the free Champions League streams. Australia's Stan includes a 30-day free trial for the required baseline tier, but the Stan Sport add-on is billed at $15 immediately for a month's access.
How to watch a free Champions League final live stream from anywhere
This year, free Champions League final live streams are available in the UK, Austria, Spain, and Luxembourg. As mentioned above, a couple require you to sign up for a free account with them, but the others are much more click-and-play.
However, if you're not physically located in the same country, you'll need to use a VPN to get these websites to think you are. Otherwise, the website will detect the location of your device via your IP address and block access to the live stream - some of them will tease you by letting you watch a few pre-roll ads first.
If you don't have a VPN, there's a massive 49% saving (and an additional three months thrown in free) on ExpressVPN, which is also the best VPN we've tested and used for years to stream sports and TV content from around the world and protect our online devices. Better still, if you're unsatisfied, there's a hassle-free 30-day money-back guarantee. Still not sure you need one? Take a look at our detailed ExpressVPN review to see why we rate it number 1. Then get stuck in and enjoy this free Champions League final live stream.

How to watch Real Madrid vs. Dortmund in the US
If you have CBS in your TV package, you're all set for kickoff at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT. If not, the cheapest way to pick it up is via Paramount Plus. If you've not used the service before, you can take it for a spin with a 7-day free trial. Otherwise, it's super cheap, starting at just $5.99 a month, and you're free to cancel whenever you like.
Or, a VPN will allow you to enjoy one of the free European live streams we mentioned earlier.
How to watch Real Madrid vs. Dortmund in the UK
After years of being a BT Sport affair, Discovery+ took over the Champions League rights this season and has all three European club football tournaments on TNT Sport. While the new owners usually operate a paid subscription service for the Champions League, they're offering the final for free.
You can watch it on the Discovery+/TNT Sport app and website. You only need to create a free account, so don't feel like you need to sign up for one of the paid tiers. Head on over to Discovery+ and click Sign up. On the next page, scroll past the suggestions for paid subscriptions and hit the Register button next to where it says 'Register to watch free content.'
How to watch Real Madrid vs. Dortmund in Australia
The Champions League final is on Stan Sport in Australia. So you'll need to sign up for Stan and then add Stan Sport as an add-on. The cheapest setup is $25 a month (for Stan Basic at $10 and Sport at $15). Better yet, it comes with a 30-day free trial first for the baseline tier - you'll still pay $15 for the Sport add-on from the off, though.
Stan Basic only streams in standard definition, but Stan Sport's content will stream in up to 4K, even when paired with this cheapest tier, so you might as well go Basic if you're just getting it for sport. However, if you want to check out the TV shows and movies too, HD is $16 a month/$21 for 4K (then add $15 for Sport). All are on rolling one-month contracts, so there's no long-term commitment.
Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
