MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is back on Twitter after the social-media platform reinstated more banned accounts.

Lindell was suspended in 2021 after repeatedly violating Twitter's civic integrity policy. The Trump ally continually pedaled baseless theories that voting machines were used to tamper with the results of the 2020 election.

Lindell was banned a second time under Twitter's evasion policy in May after he set up a new account.

The pillow salesman returned to the platform on December 16 with a tweet calling for voting machines to be melted down.

He said: "I'm back!! Thank you @elonmusk and by the way MELT DOWN THE ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES AND TURN THEM INTO PRISON BARS!"

Since Elon Musk's takeover, Twitter has reinstated multiple other banned users including Donald Trump, Rogan O'Handley, and Emerald Robinson. Musk had previously said he planned to offer all banned accounts a "general amnesty."

Lindell has been lobbying Musk to reinstate his account for some time. In November, Lindell said he would drop everything to fly off and speak to Elon Musk about reversing his Twitter ban.

The CEO's first tweet came hours after Musk suspended the Twitter accounts of multiple high-profile journalists. Musk claimed the suspensions were linked to his removal of an account that tracked his private jet and suggested some of the journalists had doxed him.

The move drew concern and condemnation from prominent European lawmakers. Some of the journalists' suspensions have been lifted.

Representatives for Lindell and Twitter did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.
