3 minutes with Dan Boyles

Introducing Dan Boyles, a technology and AI expert with a background spanning not only Microsoft and TikTok, but some of the world’s most innovative digital programs.

During his time at Microsoft, he helped support the launch of Copilot, giving him rare behind‑the‑scenes insight into how AI can transform the way people work.

Today, Dan is the founder of Hello AI and The AI Practice Academy, where he helps organisations of every size—from global accounting firms to sole practitioners—deploy AI confidently, safely, and effectively. Sitting at the intersection of finance, technology, and practical enablement, Dan’s mission is simple: make AI useful, accessible, and genuinely impactful for real businesses.

How did you get into the world of AI?

Back in 2017 I was working alongside HP and Nvidia to demonstrate future technologies for the commercial landscape and fell in love with the potential that the technology brought us.

It is the first technology I have ever worked with that can truly impact every single person on the planet positively.

What do you think the biggest trends in AI will be this year?
I think we are seeing the big focus on AI shifting from being an assistant to being an employee. From Chatbot to AI-ops.
A lot of the success we are seeing is when every employee embraces a personal agent to help bridge the gap or remove the bottlenecks
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Don’t try to out work the problem – out think it.
Think how to remove bottlenecks and redesign processes to make life easier, rather than brute forcing it,

What’s the best part of your job?

Genuinely helping make life easier for people  at all levels – there is no better feeling.

What are you most looking forward to at Accountex London?

Accountex London brings together people who genuinely want to solve problems, improve processes, and make their practices more efficient.

I love the energy that comes from speaking with professionals who are curious, open‑minded, and ready to transform how they work.

Being part of those conversations is always the highlight for me.
