5 Things That Mattered Most at Qlik Connect 2026

Recently, Qlik customers and partners gathered in Kissimmee, Florida for Qlik Connect 2026. The event brings Qlik community together for three days of networking, breakout sessions, and learning. We were excited to attend, chat with other members of the Qlik community, and talk about what’s next for Qlik.

Here, we share the five things that stuck out most to us at Qlik Connect.

1. The Evolution of AI for Business Intelligence

This year, the star of the show at Qlik Connect was AI. One of the most-discussed topics across the event, Qlik Connect had a variety of sessions surrounding topics like data literacy, AI literacy, and maintaining the human element in the era of AI. Here are some AI topics that stood out:

• How to adapt AI into our daily work
• How customers are already using it with Qlik Answers and Report Genie
• The evolution of AI and how it incorporates into Qlik

At the sessions we attended, we learned about how AI can become a member of your team and how to use it with your Qlik dashboards.

2. What’s New With Qlik

Qlik Connect shared impressive updates for customers and end users. As much as AI is top-of-mind, how do you use it with your existing BI tools? Qulik’s response is its new feature Qlik Answers, which embeds AI insights into Qlik Sense.

Allowing Qlik users to stay in their platform of choice while gaining AI insight, Qlik Answers was a key focus at Qlik Connect. Its LLM can answer questions, analyze data, and build strategies with visualization tools and traceable data so users can ensure their answers aren’t the result of AI hallucinations.

3. Real-World Use Cases

One of the most valuable aspects of any trade show is learning different perspectives. It’s one of the best reasons to go to Qlik Connect, which opens up the floor for you to meet new people and learn how they use Qlik.

Even if you’ve used Qlik for years, you may not know unique, nuanced ways other customers apply it to their businesses. Qlik Connect offered both networking opportunities and breakout sessions to help even the most experienced learn brand new ways to leverage Qlik.

4. Real-Time Data and Write Back

Every organization can benefit from analytics dashboards, but it’s often not enough to work with static information. Qlik leaders are aware of this. At Qlik Connect, they hosted discussions around moving beyond dashboards with real-time information and write back capabilities.

If a customer finds their forecast is based on outdated or incorrect data, they’d traditionally be boxed into having to export information to Excel or go into another system to correct it. Write back closes that loop by allowing users to take action right where and when the insight happened.

Users want more than static BI, and conversations at Qlik Connect revolved around how to make more interactive dashboards.

5. AI Challenges

AI was a frequently-discussed topic, but one theme we saw was about the challenges it can create. It’s no secret that AI struggles with hallucinations, confident answers the system was trained to make up in a pinch. Additionally, organizations struggle to unlock the full analytical potential of their BI dashboards with AI because it can automatically filter out critical data and opportunities.

At Qlik Connect, Report Genie was shown to a limited audience and generated strong interest where attendees wanted to know when they could expect. But it’s not a perfect solution, as answers can be clunky with customers and partners struggling to adapt and deploy.
