Accountex London welcomes record breaking number of visitors 

Over 10,000 attendees visited Accountex London at ExCeL on the 10-11 May 2023. Celebrated as Europe’s largest accountancy and finance event, the show had countless new additions, areas and theatres for visitors to explore. 

Portfolio Director, Caroline Hobden was overjoyed with the reaction “The show exceeded our expectations, with it being the biggest and best show in the history of Accountex! With more new features than ever, we really wanted Accountex London to be somewhere for visitors to not only network, learn and be inspired, but where they can have fun with their colleagues too.” 

Caroline continued: “With 80% of stand space already rebooked for next year, we can’t wait to start planning the 2024 show. We’re looking forward to welcoming even more of the accountancy and finance community to Accountex.”

There were also over 290 fintech and service suppliers offering software demos and catching up with clients old and new. Exhibitors travelled far and wide to the show, with some coming from as far as Australia and New Zealand. The wide range of exhibitors covered everything from professional training to cryptocurrency services and expense management software. Alongside smaller start-ups, global brands exhibited at the show, including FreeAgent, Intuit QuickBooks, IRIS, Sage, Taxcalc, Hammock, DEXT, Wolters Kluwer, RDI Solutions and Xero.

“Everything you need under one roof” 

Stuart Hurst, Director at Accounts and Legal commented, “This was easily the best Accountex event, maybe even the best ever accounting event I’ve been to. There were so many takeaways and gains we can implement in our practice.”

Over the two days, 180+ seminar sessions were delivered across 13 stages, offering visitors the chance to gain up to 16 CPD points. The programme was carefully curated to address all of the topics that affect people in the profession, from mental health, wellbeing, menopause in the workplace to recruitment, automation, AI and tax.

As part of Accountex’s commitment to sustainability, the event partnered with Carma to plant a tree on behalf of each visitor to the show, in collaboration with the Eden Reforestation Projects. This initiative aims to mitigate the event’s carbon footprint while supporting communities across the world.  

Accountex are dedicated to minimising their environmental impact, by reusing and recycling signage, carpet and lanyards at their shows. They are also reducing their carbon footprint, with all their shows being powered by 100% renewable energy. 

Alongside the education and networking opportunities, there was plenty of fun to be had at the show, including a photobooth, networking bus, relax & recharge area, free Pimms and ice cream, doodle wall and multiple afterparties. 

Accountex Summit Manchester is back this autumn 

Accountex Summit Manchester, formerly Accountex Summit North is returning for the fifth year, on 19 September 2023 to Manchester Central. The event will include 90+ fintech suppliers and a free CPD accredited seminar programme, as well as a post-show networking event.
