What do the CIPP do? 

The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals is the UK’s leading professional body for the pay professions, representing over 7000 individuals. We support individuals and organisations with training, qualifications, membership, and expert guidance, helping to ensure compliance and excellence. 

How did you get started? 

The CIPP was established over 40 years ago to provide a dedicated professional body for payroll, giving the industry a voice and a standard of excellence. Over the years, we’ve grown into a trusted authority, supporting thousands of professionals across the UK through education, advocacy, and community. 

What are you looking forward to most at Accountex? 

Accountex London is always a highlight in our events calendar, and this year is no exception. We’re excited to meet finance professionals face-to-face, exchange ideas, and be part of the conversations that are shaping the future of pay, especially with the addition of the FD Show.   

We’re also delighted to take the stage on both days with a couple of important industry updates. On Day 1, Mat Akrigg, CIPP Policy and Advisory Leader, takes delegates through a payroll tax year update, and on Day 2 we join HMRC in Theatre 1 discussing payrolling of benefits in kind.
