What do you do?

At Goodman Nash we’re experts in business rates and property tax. We work directly with clients and also partner with accountancy firms to deliver genuine, tangible savings. We recover around £10 million each year for hundreds of clients across a broad range of sectors.

We can also help to save clients money on their holiday let council tax, and we will soon be offering capital allowances expertise.

How did you get started?

Goodman Nash was established in 1994 by our Founders, Alan Weston and Andrew Wheeler. As the original business rates recovery specialists, our experts put together a landmark case that set a precedent which the industry has followed ever since. This watershed moment, overseen by the high court, saw £30 million recovered for clients.

We’ve grown from there and today we’re members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation (IRRV) and we have a 4.7-star rating on Google. Working throughout the country, we have offices in Bristol and Wiltshire and pride ourselves on our professional, friendly approach and our unrivalled industry knowledge.

What are you looking forward to most at Accountex Summit Manchester?

We had a fantastic time at Accountex at the Excel in London in May. We met some brilliant contacts and are already saving money for some of their clients as a ‘bolt-on’ service.

There’s a real synergy between us and many of the accountancy firms we work with. It’s imperative to us to take a straightforward, professional and honest approach to business and that resonates with many of the accountants we meet.

So overall we’re looking to make some more industry contacts and discuss how we can add value to their business by saving their clients money.
