Meet the Brand: Kletta

Kletta are excited to exhibit at Accountex Manchester for the first time after attending Accountex London. Kletta is the the accounting toolkit for Sole Traders. From keeping track of expenses and travel, to easy invoicing and taking payments, Kletta gives visibility and control of cashflow while providing business insights.

What does Kletta do?

Kletta is a small business accounting toolkit for small businesses. We help accountants with sole traders work better than ever before. The accountant / bookkeeper has a cloud portal where they can manage the client relationship – inviting clients and onboarding them quickly, and supporting them with great features such as in-app chat, remote login to app. Sole traders have a mobile app where they keep records and can set up products and services, send sales invoices, get paid via card reader, record expenses by snapping receipts and record travel mileages… all visible in the portal for the accountants/bookkeeper to intervene as needed to prepare for timely ITSA.

How did Kletta get started?

Well, it came out of many of us having been self-employed sole proprietors in the past running our small businesses and not having these tools available to us – it was spreadsheets and end of year hard work by our accountant(s).  Yet in our corporate roles we have had access to Travel and Expense Management (TEM) tools and the ease of use and time savings made there.  Also, some of us held roles for businesses in the fintech sector – selling procurement and invoice automation software, plus TEM solutions to SME’s. One of the founders also has a banking background, so we have a team with Finance knowledge and software experience, which has a passion for helping small businesses succeed by giving them better, more simple tools to run their business with.

We believe in the enablement of small businesses and access to modern tools in the ‘digital cascade’. Indeed, we say Kletta is your office in your back pocket – sole traders can run their business whilst on the job and provide better service to their own clients …and there’s more exciting stuff lined up to come to make it a complete one stop shop for sole proprietors!

We are also supporting growth journeys for sole proprietors and will soon be adding VAT and Ltd company status to our base offering which is currently to non-VAT registered sole traders.

Our mission is that ‘Everyday accounting for small businesses is better with Kletta’.

What are you looking forward to most about Accountex?

We have a stand! We’re coming out of stealth mode and into the real world – and talking with accountants and bookkeepers to show them we understand their challenges and aims in working with sole trader clients. We know many of them are sole proprietor businesses themselves and so they are acutely aware of their value to their sole trader clients – we just wish to help to make that easier and provide some valuable time back to them which they can re-utilise. We can demonstrate how easy and simple that is with Kletta for Accountants and so are looking forward to meeting lots of people at the show.

Why should visitors come to your stand?

If you have sole trader clients and want to work with these clients more easily than ever before – then come and see us and we can show you how we do this. 78% of businesses in the UK are sole traders, a massively important and key part of society.  For many MTD will become a mandatory element, we think we are ahead of that curve, and with more services coming to the app and platform we believe that Kletta can be a really valuable partner for sole proprietors and their accountants.
