What do Payhawk do?

Payhawk is the leading spend management solution for domestic and international businesses throughout Europe, the US, and the UK. Combining company cards, reimbursable expenses, accounts payable, and seamless accounting software integrations into a single product, Payhawk makes business payments easy — for everyone. Payhawk helps customers in over 32 countries to maximise efficiency, control spending at scale, and stay agile. With offices in London, Berlin, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Vilnius, Sofia, and New York, Payhawk’s diverse customer base includes top names like LuxAir, Babbel, Vinted, Wallbox and Wagestream.

How did Payhawk get started?

Payhawk was established in 2018 to fix the disconnected business payment problems faced by CFOs and finance teams. Founded in Sofia by CEO Hristo Borisov, CTO Boyko Karadzhov, and CFO Konstantin Dzhengozov, Payhawk became the first ever Bulgarian unicorn in March 2022. Although entering a crowded market, Payhawk was unique in its approach to solving problems, tackling them from a tech and solution-first angle, influenced heavily by its CFO and CTO’s product and engineering backgrounds at the software company Telerik. “Every employee that deals with company payments feels that there should be a better way to do it, but this huge problem was never tackled by a strong product team with a hardcore engineering background. And this is what Payhawk brings to the market,” Hristo explains.

At Payhawk, our product evolves continuously, driven by customer-centricity, feedback, and experience. In 2022 we opened an office in New York to ensure we could support our global customers with entities in the US. And in February, we launched a fully comprehensive multi-entity management feature so that multi-national enterprises can view and control their global spend all in one place.
