What inspired you to get into AML Compliance?

I’ve been an accountant in practice for a lot of years, and I can see AML Compliance is a pain point which, given the choice, accountants would rather swerve. So I wanted to ease that pain, to free them to get on with the real work.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?  

Reducing the stress and anxiety that many accountants feel around AML Compliance and professional body disciplinary proceedings.

What advice would you give someone just starting out in the profession?

Don’t have a fixed idea about your career path, things keep changing and new and exciting opportunities open up.

What are you most looking forward to at Accountex Summit Manchester? 

Meeting accountants in practice and seeing what new things suppliers are doing.

What do you want visitors to take away from your session?

Greater clarity about what they need to do to meet the new legal requirements for Companies House, and when, and how they can most easily do it.
