Speaker Q&A Francesca Tricarico

Introducing Francesca Tricarico, Managing Director of Future Cloud Accounting Limited.

Francesca decided 11 years ago that she wanted to create a better life for herself and her children so went back into education. She’d always had a passion for accountancy, so she worked hard and focused her efforts on joining a top practice. As well as studying, she did voluntary work in the industry to become fully immersed in the subject.

After graduating in 2014 she joined a top local accounting firm (after applying twice), learning about all areas of the business before falling in love with cloud-based accounting. Wanting to change the industry, she established her firm in 2019.

How did you get into the industry?

Through my love of how a business operates, I wanted to understand the tax side of things, I wanted to understand why accountants came across a certain way! I had a vision of changing the industry, I wanted to prove I could get a career whilst being a young Mum!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Showing our clients there is a better way to manage their finances! Giving business ideas for growth. I also like encouraging businesses to try different things and get out of their comfort zones.

What advice would you give someone just starting out in the profession?

Be yourself, ask a lot of questions, do your own research! Never be afraid to make mistakes, they will happen but don’t let them put you off, just be sure to learn from them!

What are you most looking forward to at Accountex?

Meeting new people! Especially new practices starting out on their digital journey! Seeing our amazing software partners too!

Why should visitors attend your session?

I have no filter, I’m honest and real! I can only tell you about my experiences and my background, so hopefully I can inspire more people! I have made plenty of mistakes and I do something uncomfortable most weeks, I will share how and why!
