Speaker Q&A: Mo Kanjilal

Introducing Mo Kanjilal, a Co-Creator at Watch This Sp_ce, a multi-award-winning diversity and inclusion company. During a career in international technology corporations leading global teams, Mo worked on creating inclusive teams and engaging employees. After working in smaller companies on similar initiatives, she co-created Watch This Sp_ce. The company works with a range of organisations in different sectors to help them understand what changes they need to make and how to drive those changes and engage people. Mo is also a Charity board Trustee, a Non-Exec Director, a Conference Speaker, and Writer.

Get to know a bit about Mo before her session at Accountex…

1. What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given? 

Always be friendly to people when you meet them, you never know which connection will lead to something magical.

2. Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know 

I went to drama classes when I was young as everyone thought I was too shy, people who know me now always find that funny.

3. Who or what inspires you to be even better? 

My parents and their generation, they went through so much and faced so many challenges when they emigrated here from India, and we take it all for granted.

4. What are you most looking forward to at Accountex? 

Listening to some of the other talks, there are so many brilliant sessions on such a range of subjects.

5. What do you want visitors to take away from your sessions? 

That diversity and inclusion is not about ‘ticking boxes’ or side projects, it’s the key to creating teams who solve problems, innovate and are happy in their work.
