London: Afghan Given Asylum in UK Arrested for Stabbing to Death a Man Walking His Dog, Wounding Another Man and a 14-Year-Old Boy on a Quiet Neighborhood Street

A 22-year-old Afghan man granted asylum in Britain went on a stabbing rampage late Monday afternoon in the quiet neighborhood of Midhurst Gardens in the west London town of Uxbridge in Hillingdon, killing a 49-year-old man who was walking his dog, also stabbing and wounding a 45-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy. The Afghan reportedly lived in a ‘house in multiple occupation’ (HMO) on the street where he attacked his victims. The attacker was arrested after being hit with a Taser by police when he refused to drop his knife.

Video taken from a home across the street shows a man who was walking his dog set upon by the Afghan, who mercilessly stabbed the defenseless man multiple times.

BBC excerpt:

A dog walker has died and another man has been seriously injured after a triple stabbing in west London.

A 22-year-old Afghan national was Tasered and arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after the incident at Midhurst Gardens, Uxbridge, at 17:00 GMT on Monday.

Paramedics treated the 49-year-old man for stab wounds but he died at the scene, while the second man, 45, was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries. A 14-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with knife wounds but his injuries were not life-threatening or changing, police said.

The BBC understands the arrested man entered the UK in a lorry in November 2020, and was granted asylum and leave to remain in 2022.

An eyewitness to the arrest spoke to GBNews. He said he has lived in the neighborhood for fourteen years without trouble. He said the only crime was break-ins, car thefts and kids on electric scooters. He said it was a normal evening with families out on the street at 5 p.m. when the attack occurred. He also said the neighbors were saying last night the attacker was known by them and lived in a HMO on the same road.
