Lufthansa unveils its new first-class suites for long-haul flights, including some with double beds.
Its CEO said the suite "conveys the feeling of privacy and individuality similar to a hotel room."
Passengers are able to heat and cool the seats and have meals served when they want.
Lufthansa has unveiled a huge revamp of the interiors of planes used for long-haul flights, known as Allegris - and this includes a new premium suite for first-class passengers.
Lufthansa said it will replace more than 27,000 seats throughout its fleet as part of its major refresh of product and service, estimated to cost 2.5 billion euros, or $2.6 billion.
The so-called "Suite Plus" is a separate double cabin.
It features ceiling-high walls and a door that closes fully. Lufthansa says the cabin is up to 3.7 square meters (40 square feet) in size.
Inside it contains a large table and two wide seats ...
... that can be combined into a double bed.
CEO Jens Ritter said in a press release that the First Class Suite Plus "conveys the feeling of privacy and individuality similar to a hotel room."

As well as the larger Plus suites, the Allegris planes will also have single suites.
Both suite types feature private wardrobes and large screens. The seats are nearly 1 meter wide (around 3 feet 3 inches) and can be heated and cooled by passengers as they wish. Travelers can also have their meals served when they want.
Lufthansa says that the first Allegris first-class cabins will be introduced on Airbus A350 planes in 2024, with three suites available per aircraft.
The new Allegris layout also features a revamped business class.
Passengers can choose from seven different seating options, including ones with extra work surfaces, more privacy, and extra-long beds.
The planes kitted out with the Allegris layout will also have economy and premium economy seats.
Throughout the planes, there will be what Lufthansa calls "human-centric lighting," which it says helps passengers reduce jet lag.
In total, more than 80 new aircraft will get the layouts, and some current aircraft will also be retrofitted.
