In today’s Episode of The Gateway Pundit’s DC Dive with TGP White House correspondent Jordan Conradson, we discuss the beginning of the end to the Democratic Party’s historic government shutdown as it enters its 42nd day, President Trump’s pardon of alternate 2020 electors, and so much more. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported, after 15 attempts, the Senate finally passed a bill to fund the government through January 30, 2026, last night by a vote of 60-40. This comes after eight Senate Democrats crossed the aisle to invoke cloture on the continuing resolution to fund the government during a rare weekend session on Sunday, 40 days into the shutdown.

The House is expected to vote on the bill this week, sending it to President Trump’s desk to end the Democrats’ hostage crisis for illegal aliens and free healthcare.

But episode 4 dives into the real reason Democrats are shutting down the government. The truth? Leftists want to destroy Trump’s main achievement: the economy.

As Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent noted in an interview on Sunday, the shutdown could cause economic growth to be “cut by as much as half if the shutdown continues.” Additionally, after two consecutive quarters of GDP growth, White House National Economic Advisor Kevin Hassett warns that Q4 GDP could be negative if the government remains closed.

If only Senate Republicans got tough and nuked the filibuster, the Democrats' havoc on the economy could have been stopped sooner, and meaningful conservative legislation could be passed at a record pace.

Trump has repeatedly called on the GOP to weild their power since last month, arguing that the Democrats have already tried and will try again when they're back in power.

Also, Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller, who represented former AZGOP Chairwoman Keli Ward and her husband in the case, joins the show to weigh in on the announcement that Trump is pardoning the alternate GOP electors who fought to overturn the 2020 election as they still face sham indictments in Arizona and Georgia.

Miller discusses failed Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes's case, where a judge ruled that state prosecutors improperly presented the case to a grand jury and failed to inform jurors of the Electoral Count Act, which dictates the rules of electoral vote counting and exonerates the defendants.

An appeals court sided with the lower court judge, refusing to even consider the case in September. Previously, Mayes’s case started to crumble after a judge allowed the defendants to argue that the charges were politically motivated.

Later, we take a look at the hostility toward ICE in Chicago, as the Latin Kings street gang-- aided and abetted by leftist activists-- gives “shoot on sight” orders against federal agents, and explain why diversity is not, in fact, our greatest strength.
