WATCH: Under Cover of Thick Fog, Conquering Russian Forces Roll on Pokrovsky ‘Mad Max-Style’

Russians advance on Pokrovsk. Screengrabs social media Telegram.

I guess that’s what we can call the ‘fog of war’.

Everyone that’s observing the war in Ukraine understands that a new king of battlefield has arrived, with the absolute dominance of the attack drones.

Unless you can effectively identify and eliminate operators, all advances are made by sneaking small groups of fighters in multiple places at once.

And, of course, the old days of big armored convoys are pretty much done – we haven’t seen one since the failed Ukrainian ‘counteroffensive’ of 2023.

But it’s not like drones don’t have any weak spots – they do.

They can’t, for example, operate in some severe weathers – or during fog.

So, in the conquest of the key Donetsk bastion of Pokrovsk, the low visibility permitted a mass advance of Russian forces in a way that some in the media have called a ‘Mad Max-style’ convoy of troops, motorbikes and cars.

Ukraine reportedly only controls e few blocks in Krasnoarmeysk (Russian name for Pokrovsk), and the influx of troops means to stabilize the newly conquered positions.

At the same time, the neighboring Mirnograd defenses, totally encircled in a ‘fire bag’, have begun surrendering.
