“WE ARE COMING FOR YOU”: DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Sends Blistering Warning to Gavin Newsom — Vows Arrests Over Massive Taxpayer-Funded Fraud

News anchors discuss the recent ICE operations in Minneapolis during a segment on Fox News Channel.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem sent a warning to far-left Gavin Newsom

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem appeared on Jesse Watters Primetime Tuesday night to deliver a chilling ultimatum to California’s radical Governor Gavin Newsom: the Trump administration’s Department of Homeland Security is coming, and arrests are coming with it.

Fresh off a massive surge operation in Minnesota that has already resulted in hundreds of arrests, Noem revealed that federal investigators have uncovered a sprawling web of taxpayer-funded fraud, so large and so brazen that it has now exposed criminal networks stretching across the country and overseas, with deep ties to California.

According to Noem, DHS surged more than 2,000 additional ICE and Homeland Security Investigations agents into Minnesota over a 48-hour period after evidence emerged of systemic abuse of taxpayer-funded programs.

What they found was staggering.

Illegal aliens and criminal networks, Noem said, siphoned hundreds of millions of dollars meant for Medicaid recipients, money intended to support disabled individuals, autistic children, and those in need of developmental services.

Instead, the funds were funneled into luxury homes, international travel, and personal enrichment.

Even more damning were Noem’s claims that state employees repeatedly warned Democrat leadership about the fraud, only to be ignored, silenced, or bullied into compliance.

The most explosive moment of the interview came when Watters noted that Gavin Newsom has recently dared the federal government to “bring it on.” Noem didn’t blink.

The DHS Secretary confirmed that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is already tracking the money trail to California, where Newsom has spent years creating a “sanctuary” for the very individuals Noem’s team is now rounding up.

Jesse Watters:
Ms. Secretary, you’ve been out there on the ground. What have you found out so far?

Kristi Noem:
Well, Jesse, the amount of fraud in Minnesota is unprecedented. It’s incredible what we’ve found. We surged operations there over the last 48 hours. We’ve sent 2,000 more ICE officers, HSI officers, and individuals there to help get to the bottom of it.

What we’re finding is not only people who’ve come into this country illegally, but people who have perpetuated crimes against others. They’ve stolen American citizens’ money and put it in their own pockets—and into the pockets of other individuals, businesses, and organizations here.

These individuals bought luxury homes and took vacations, all using somebody else’s money—money that should have been used to help people who were actually supposed to benefit from these programs. Medicaid recipients who were supposed to get help for developmental services, handicapped and vulnerable individuals, and people with autism who needed services didn’t get it because criminals were stealing the money and benefiting themselves instead.

Jesse Watters:
They’re ripping off the most vulnerable members of society, and people were blowing the whistle in Minnesota, and the politicians weren’t listening, were they?

Kristi Noem:
No, absolutely not. In fact, many Minnesota state employees were saying, “Governor Walz, pay attention to this. People are stealing the money. These are not legitimate businesses. They’re not legitimate nonprofits.”

He ignored them. He told them to do their jobs, follow orders, and essentially overlook these criminals. They felt like whistleblowers who were being ignored or bullied into staying quiet.

Jesse Watters:
Are people thanking you when you’re there? I mean, it seems like you’re rounding up a lot of bad hombres, and it’s out in the open. Do people come up to you and say, “We’ve been dealing with this trouble for a long time. We appreciate it”?

Kristi Noem:
They do. Over the last 48 hours, we’ve arrested hundreds and hundreds of dangerous criminals off the streets in Minnesota—people who are part of this fraud scheme.

This morning, I left D.C. at 2:00 a.m. and got to Minnesota. By that time, we had arrested a murderer, someone extorting money in other countries, and sexual assault perpetrators—individuals who were attacking children.

We’ve gotten them off the streets, and we did it with no help from Governor Walz and no help from Democrats who are trying to cover it up. We ignored them and did the work President Trump has given us to do. Thank God we have a president who wants to make America safe again for every single citizen, regardless of where they live.

Jesse Watters:
Well, the governor of California says, “Bring it on.”

Kristi Noem:
Oh, we’ll be there. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Minnesota is unbelievable based on what we’ve seen, but it’s leading us to networks all over the country and overseas, and we’re going to follow every single one of them.

Homeland Security Investigations is an incredible team that goes after human traffickers and sex traffickers. But the fraud in our public programs tied to California—absolutely, we’re coming. We’re coming for you, Governor Newsom. We’re going to arrest every single individual tied to this stealing of taxpayer dollars, and we will hold them accountable. We’ll bring them to justice

Jesse Watters:
Good. I think you’re going to hit the jackpot out there in the Golden State.
