This getaway home located in Québec was updated with a modern flare by architecture firm Dupont Blouin. Some of 60’s inspired elements were kept but details such as updated slate flooring were added to this $450K update.

2. Consider classic hardwood
Danish design firm Reform and architect Sigurd Larsen joined forces to renovate Larsen’s 969-square-foot apartment in Berlin. With minimal space, the two worked to create space with muted colors and natural wood detailing. The light hardwood floors help bring everything together.
