Twitter employees who chose severance rather than commit to Elon Musk's new "hardcore" vision for the social-media platform have shared bittersweet recollections of their time at the company — including photos of laptops emblazoned with blue bird stickers and other memorabilia.
The stickers include diverse variations of Twitter's iconic blue bird logo, as well as popular hashtags like #LoveWhereYouWorked and #OneTeam. There's even a reference to the viral Birds Aren't Real conspiracy theory.

Elon Musk's vision for Twitter appears not to have proved popular among the company's remaining employees. On Thursday, Insider reported that more than half of Twitter's roughly 4,000 remaining staff opted to accept severance rather than commit to Musk's "extremely hardcore" vision for the company.
"I may be #exceptional, but gosh darn it, I'm just not #hardcore," Andrea Horst, who worked in supply chain and capacity management, said.

In an email earlier this week, Musk ordered all Twitter employees to commit to his "extremely hardcore" vision for Twitter by clicking a sign up-link before 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, or else be laid off with three months' severance.
Insider reported that senior executives later attempted to personally convince some "critical" personnel to stay.
