The upcoming Accountex London exhibition at ExCeL on 10-11 May 2023, has a host of new features and an emphasis on sustainability and mental health. With more exhibitors, feature areas, and theatres than ever before, over 8,000 accounting, finance, and bookkeeping professionals from around the world are expected to attend the free annual event. Attendees will have access to 275+ fintech and service suppliers offering software demos and a diverse CPD accredited education programme. There’s even the opportunity for visitors to join Sage for an exciting panel discussion with some famous faces from the world of sport.
To help visitors plan their day, the free Accountex app will be available to download two weeks before the event. Users will be able to bookmark their favourite sessions and suppliers, view exhibitor lists, and education programs.
Another new feature Accountex are proud of is that every theatre at the show will be fitted with a hearing loop system. This will ensure the session content is accessible to anyone who uses hearing aids.
The Bookkeeper’s Base Camp will provide bookkeepers with opportunities to network, meet peers, and relax, while the FinTech and Innovation Showcase will offer quick 10-minute overviews of products and technologies to help visitors identify which exhibitors they want to meet.
To celebrate the King’s Coronation week, there will be a British garden party at Accountex, with the Networking Bus. A vintage red double decker bus will offer opportunities for networking, taking calls, and relaxing, all while enjoying free Pimms and ice cream which will be available each afternoon.
Visitors can also learn how to create effective content for social media and how to build an engaged audience with the Content Creation Clinic. Rachel Harris, Founder of accountant_she and Director, striveX Accountants, will be on hand to answer questions and even film content with attendees.
As part of their commitment to sustainability, Accountex has partnered with Carma to plant a tree on behalf of each visitor to the show, in collaboration with the Eden Reforestation Projects. This initiative aims to mitigate the event’s carbon footprint while supporting communities across the world.
Mental health is also a
key focus of this year’s event, with Mental Health UK named as the official charity partner. Visitors can access advice and education and speak to the Mental Health UK team in person. Mental Health UK provides support and services for societal challenges that threaten people’s mental health, including financial problems, loneliness, and resilience in young people.
Another addition to the show is Accountex’s Diversity, Equality and Inclusion partnership with Watch This Sp_ce, to ensure that visitors and exhibitors have a voice, are included, valued, have equitable access and equal opportunities. Attendees can also visit their stand to find out what they can do to prioritise diversity and inclusion in their workplace.
Visitors can take time out of their busy day, to listen to industry professional podcasters Rob Brown and Martin Bissett, as they interview an exceptional line-up of experts at the vintage Airstream “Caravel” for the On ‘AIR’ Podcast Studio, in partnership with Accounting Influencers.
